On October 22nd 2012, Daniel Robertson and Hayley Taylor purchased  the disused Savoy Bingo Hall in Tonyrefail.

 

They are two professional theatre technicians with more than fifty years experience between them in all aspects of entertainment.

From 1998 until 2008 they operated a large community theatre in South-East England.Following the loss of their rented premises they decided to move elsewhere.

​

After a long search for a suitable building they came across the Savoy Bingo Hall. They submitted plans in late 2012 for its conversion into the Savoy Theatre, and these were voted in unanimously at the Development Control Committee meeting in Clydach Vale on 2nd May 2013.

Since then, Daniel and Hayley have worked tirelessly to create a truly wonderful building for people from all walks of life to live their dream and perform on stage and work behind the scenes.

We are incredibly lucky to be able to perform all of our shows at The Savoy Theatre.
