Leighton has many years of experience performing in theatre and recently graduated from the London School of Musical Theatre, where he studied between 2008 and 2009.

Immediately on graduating from the London School of Musical Theatre, Leighton joined the cast of the new 25th Anniversary International Tour of Les Miserables in the UK and Paris, also played at the Barbican and was part of the 25th anniversary concert at the O2. This Christmas he plays Dandini in Cinderella at the New Theatre Cardiff.
